This game is incredibly fun and awesome. I would highly recommend this game to anyone that enjoys pokemon. The game levels as you level so you are never having to fight lower leveled mons in any area. There can be a bit of spikes in levels here an there throughout the game, but the trainers want to battle you again pretty often and since the wild mons level up as the game progresses it never feels overly tedius.

The story is really good and enjoyable and had me wanting to come back for more a lot of the time. The art and music is also absolutely fantastic and makes it that much easier to play. The designs of the mons are pretty unique for the most part and it's really fun trying to find the perfect team for yourself. The database tells you what level the mons evolve at now and makes it that much easier to know what you are striving for. There is a decent amount of meta comments made by some characters in the game, and while not all that bad, was sometimes a bit much for me. Your sidekick does the most of those and usually it's mainly to voice what we are thinking in the moment. This works pretty well and doesn't normally take you out of the immersion, but when some of the other characters make meta jokes it can be a bit much or a little cringey. Besides that they writing is pretty great.

If you are worried about playing the first one before this one then you are fine. I had not even heard of the first one before roughly half way through the game. The only thing that would benefit you is maybe knowing a few little cameos, besides that you don't need any prior knowledge. This game is extremely fun and adds a lot to the Monster Tamer genre and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the genre and is looking for a fun and good game to play.

First off just let me say that this is the first review i have ever written. Which is because this game has moved me enough to, after 4 years on steam, to write my first review dispite some amazing games i have played. This is because just how amazing this game is. The best way i can explain this game is that is extremely tense while being extremely laid back at the same time.

The gameplay itself is super enjoyable because no matter what you do you will get a conversation with whoever you have with you. While the gameplay is pretty laid back, this is where the story comes in. It is incredibly well thought out and extremely tense. There are times when you have no clue what is happeneing and then you have a sudden realization on whats going down or something you didnt realize earlier since you just found a new piece of evidence. As of this review i have only seen one ending but i gaurante to you that no matter which ending you get it is a complete mind ♥♥♥♥. Just when you think you have something figured out you either find another note or the story is progressed and you are completely dumbfounded.

This game is one of my all time favourite games that i have ever played. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this game to anyone and everyone!!!
