You will encounter multiple hackers/modders in the park. I've seen 99 overall builds with custom build names, glitched player models, etc. Lag switching is common both in the park and rec. Lots of ball hoggers. If you want to play with people who are more friendlier, switch to console.

The main reason why I bought the game on PC was to mod the hell out of it. I also don't own a console. Might not be worth buying if you don't like downloading multiple mods just to get the realism right.

While I hate that next gen isn't out on PC, NBA 2K21 does have some upsides compared to the previous installment. MyLeague is still busted in some ways but sliders are starting to stabilize, tendencies are somewhat fixed and it's still a better experience than MyCareer or MyTeam. Downloading cyberfaces has been made easier, but it's a little bit more tedious since the 2kTools only allow you to put cyberfaces on current NBA players or custom draft class players instead of just being able to assign any player a cyberface ID. Otherwise, it's a solid game for people who like the simulation aspect of NBA 2K.

2K is known to be money grabbers, and that's no exception with NBA 2K20. MyCareer and MyTeam are littered with microtransactions that make the game pay to win, so it's no wonder people hack to make their guys have slenderman arms and 1 inch tall. Advertisements are plastered all over the game, whether it's in MyCareer or even in the loading screens. MyTeam by around January and Feburary becomes stale when they start pumping out Galaxy Opal players like it's candy.

HOWEVER, there's something to be said about the presentation and the best game mode in the NBA 2K series, MyLeague. When 2K tries, it can produce amazing results. There are locker room cutscenes, interviews with players and coaches and our favorite broadcasters Shaq, Kenny and Ernie. MyCareer has hours of brilliantly animated cutscenes and voice acting, which is definitely an improvement from the atrocious voice lines from NBA 2K15 that sounded like they were reading a book out loud in English class. The cyberfaces, while not the best on some players like 2010's Kobe and rookie LeBron, are very accurate and detailed. There's tons of replayability in MyLeague. Take someone from the 90's and see how they would play in the modern NBA, remove everyone who makes the All-NBA each season and see how terrible the league gets, put in your 99 overall created player and watch him break all of the records, whatever. There's so many possibilities in MyLeague and tons of outcomes for you to observe. Plus the simulation speed is way faster than on console. Player and team's stats are in-depth and advanced, which is a refresher from most sports games like modern Madden games who have basic stats. You have to think about what kind of impact each move makes, from releasing a player to signing a team owner.

NBA 2K20 isn't really a game for your casual NBA fan and more suited to hardcore NBA fans (or kids who wanna flex on the park with the VC they bought from their mom's credit card)

I discovered this game a while back and though now I regret getting this game earlier in its prime, it's still a very addicting game. Very simple controls, yet it gets more complex as it goes on, with the onslaught of enemies while mixing up the variety of them. It almost feels like it was imported from a mobile game, but then again it also feels like it would do good on both phones and computers.

Killing enemies feels satisfactory, and the only consequences only come when you are doing too fast. This game teaches you to pay attention and in my opinion, helps with your reaction time.

Let's be honest, we all bought this game for the promotional items in TF2, but we still have it in out game library because it's actually fun.
