This is a brilliant game. Awesome writing, great production quality, and innovative gameplay (or the day). Just played it again in 2022 and it was just as good as the first time.

Update:

Well after giving it more of a chance and learning about the leveling system and competitive matches I learned to love CS:GO. It's a fun game. Expensive though. You don't *have* to spend any money on weapon skins to play, but it's hard not to... Eventually you will probably lose hundreds to the community market and get about $0.10 back in value. But hopefully have fun doing it... Counter-Strike is the kind of game you play for a decade so it's not the worst thing to invest... Hopefully, someday, you'll get lucky enough to get an item that's worth lots that you don't want and cash back in. YEAH RIGHT. In any case, the gameplay is fun. Different from source, true. And the hackers are starting to fill the rooms. But it's fun.

Original Opinion:

In my opinion CS: GO is watered down compared to CS: Source. "Girlied" up, I like to call it. In my experince, girls prefer it, and guys usually prefer Source (albeit, many follow the girls..). It reminds me of Team Fortress 2. CS: Source is a much better way to go for Counter-Strike. I have only play CS: GO maybe 30 minutes or so. I just can't stand it.
