I wholeheartedly recommend this game, especially if you are a fan of Quake and Arena FPS games. The original Kickstarter campaign trailer should give you an idea of the gameplay, and if you are like me and have warm and fuzzy nostalgic feelings from playing Quake back in the day, you'll probably want to play it.

And you should! It is superb, fast, fun, furious, frantic - it plays smoothly, even on relatively old systems. The developers are clearly passionate about what they do and the lead developer has a wealth of experience in the industry, and it shows. The engine is rock solid, the game design is great and adheres to the genre whilst catering to casual players.

Future updates will bring matchmaking very soon so don't worry about getting stomped by pros! Approximately half of the features listed in the kickstarter pitch are ALREADY implemented. Cosmetics, high performance engine, game modes, in game map editor, replay editor, dedicated servers...

Seriously. Just buy the game. It offers excellent value for money, the community is great and very welcoming and friendly. Steam refund policy will give you a refund if you play less than two hours and ask for a refund within 14 days of purchasing it, so you literally have nothing to lose.

This is a great game that I've thoroughly enjoyed playing since late alpha. Proud to say I'm one of the thousands of Kickstarter backers that made this project a reality. The game engine has been built from scratch to support modding, which helps extend the game even more. Recent updates continue to shape and improve the game for the better, but it has been playable and fun before it was even released.

The scope for strategy is vast, especially in team games. 1v1 ranked games are fast paced and can get tense. PA has a different balance to many other RTS games, which can take some getting used to, but is well worth it.

You can tell that Uber really care about this game, and have invested a lot of skill and passion in to it. I could go on about smashing moons into planets, destroying planets with giant lasers, huge multi faceted armies sweeping across a planet's surface destroying all in its wake, teleporting across planets, and so much more, but watch the videos and see for yourself. It is well worth it :)
