This game is now riddled with cheaters. Particularly with controller players. Cronus zen and xim are so prevalent in both PVP and PVE that it sickens me. Not to mention the numerous other cheats that PC players use. After almost a decade of playing a game that, what I thought, was one of the best stories and player experiences in gaming ever, has been reduced to a ♥♥♥♥ show that Bungie actively encourages by their inaction. As of the release of the Witch Queen expansion, Bungie publicly stated that they will NOT be taking action against various cheats, but simply "tracking" the use of such cheats. This attitude has since invited every low-life POS to ruin one of the most amazing game franchises to date. In the past 2 years there have been no ban waves, no reaction to streamers boasting about the cheats they're using while live on stream, no investigations into the harassment of non-cheating streamers by cheaters, and no investigation into cheating communities with Discord servers that have thousands of members. Bungie has only gone for the low hanging fruit when they have been forced to do so. Bungie, once the developer of HALO, one of the greatest franchises ever, are now a heartless, opportunistic, pile of garbage. They take advantage of their player base with overpriced micro-transactions and ignore the health of the player base. Bungie, you're dead to me. This may seem all hyperbolic, but realistically, this is how Bungie now operates. To anyone reading this review, there are so many games out there with Devs that care about their players and the quality of their games, please consider not throwing away your money to a greed-centric, sociopathic trash heap like Bungie.
