Yes there's micro-stutters when loading new areas, sometimes. Otherwise the game has been fantastic and beautiful so far IMO

It reminds me of Crimsonland except not as stressful. Easily recommended for its price point. I look forward to more development, but I've gotten my money's worth.

This game is the best rogue-like grind I've played. The story is beautiful. The voice acting is superb. The game-play is perfectly challenging and in my experience bug-free. This game deserves GOTY and I'm glad to have played as much as I have so far. This game makes me happy.

Having played the original encounters, the remastered versions, and serious sam 3, I would consider myself a fan. This game made a change of direction back to the original encounters' quirkiness (lacking in any obvious puzzle-solving but robust with fun secrets and vibrant colors / environments). Yes, there are obvious texture / model pop-ins with new scenes being rendered, but I'm not playing on the hottest rig these days (16gb RAM, GTX 1070, i5-4690K@3.5GHz CPU, but the game looked great and ran well ~60fps [30, 120]). If you can suspend disbelief and play this like the arcade shooter that it is, you'll love it. BTW enabled the retro crossair: I love seeing red/yellow/orange/green on mouse-over for the health, as well as the headshot damage indicators).

Time for a Serious run - hard was a warmup.
