the design philosophy is there clearly by making all the specials have unique abilities they haven't had before (i.e cloaker acid, dozer charge) but it's missing everything else

making the game more grounded and less goofy like payday 2 is a good step to differentiate the games, as it's payday 3 not payday 2: 2023 edition. but it's lacking in the fact that it's missing a lot of core features that- despite being added post release games in those games- aren't in this game on day 1.

if they were good additions in the previous games for years and were part of its core identity, why not have them be already in this game?

one thing that really lacked in payday 2 that i hoped payday 3 would have is the emphasis on the crew communicating. (payday the heist had the heisters frequently communicate with each other during events and bain - not being blank slates for the players).

7/10 bake it in the oven more
