OBJECTION! First of all, I would like to state that I personally despise point-and-click games. I've had a run-in with tons of visual novel style games before, some were RPGs, some were action packed, but still, in essence they were visual novels -- that's besides the point. In Ace Attorney, you'll take on the role of an ordinary newby attorney who just got his badge, fresh out of law school. That's the gist of it; you get a few companions down the line whose special set of skills you get to use to conduct investigations, to be well prepared for upcoming trials. The game is seperated into episodes, during each there are mostly two parts; the Investigations part and the Trials part. Although you may not find the Investigation part all that exciting, the Trial part will have you on your toes in what will seem like the MOST INTENSE TRIALS of some of the MOST UNUSUAL CASES you've ever seen. It's not all THAT serious though, as you'll be faced with some of the most obnoxious obstacles; a prosecutor who's stuck in the past, another who has a whip she keeps throwing at the judge for "foolish" reasons, and one who uses "coffee" as a way to describe incidents, no matter how grave (also, he would occasionally pour hot cups of espresso on your head during trials, but that's part of the charm). The game has you meet also some very loveable characters; like the cute spirit mediums, the oblivious detective, the childhood friend that keeps causing you trouble, the photographer who's just in it for the fame and the lady struck by bad luck... and each of them, despite how stupid or cringey they sound at first, have a deep, depressing story you'll get to uncover on your own time. There isn't much to say about the gameplay; it's a point-and-click visual novel... However, the storytelling, the narrative, the characters and the atmosphere of the game will have you smiling, crying, giggling, sobbing... And finding clues while digging in snow always results in a nice, cozy feeling! It's just a wide range of feelings all at once and we LOVE it!

Get your Sherlock hats on, cause you're in for quite an investigation.
