A great game. If you loved the original RollerCoaster Tycoon 1&2, this is the closest thing to a modern iteration of them, with the decorations & props, of Planet Coaster (to an extent, but way better than RCT2), and a grid-based coaster builder, that's easy to use, but much more flexible than RCT2's, allowing you to make more intricate coasters easily.

New to this game is a new element of management when it comes to shops and stalls, having to create lines of supply while keeping them out of the sight of guests to "beautify" and not break the illusion of the park. It's a really cool addition, nothing too hard to handle or anything, but it's nice for the immersion aspect on the management side of things.

When it comes to the campaign, it's also excellent. If you enjoyed campaigns in RCT2, but thought "these challenges are too wacky, ridiculous, hard, I wish it was less tedious, I want something more down to Earth,...", if any of these fit you, you will LOVE Parkitect. The Campaign, as far as I've played it, has interesting scenarios, but never going as crazy as some of the stuff you saw in past Tycoon games. Plus the time-limit challenge is OPTIONAL, so you can beat the level without time constraints, enjoying it, and then, if you want, you can go for the time-challenge. But you'll never suddenly lose the game because X-years went by.

Add to that a beautifully polished somewhat minimalist artstyle with a lot of personality, and you get yourself a great package for a great price honestly.

The only flaws I could think of while playing, is the lack of a backwards chainlift mode to create boomerang style coasters. But you can still do them with boosters instead, so it's not the end of the world, although I do hope it's something they add (if they haven't already).

Tldr: it's RCT2 with less wackier, more down to earth scenarios, a great decoration system closer to Plant Coaster's, with nice park management and a beautiful artstyle. Definitely worth the price of admission.
