Wow...just wow, so much better than I expected. Immersed and fully locked in lost track of time, the game flowed seamlessly without any issues, and even after completing the main story. There is so much more quality content and stuff to find

Note
The first few days were rough, there are people that draw conclusions about a game and an entire studio within the first 2 or 3 days of the game being out... which is fine, people can have their own opinions, however those that are willing to give the game a fair shot, and see that the devs are actively (2-3+ times a day) addressing the main issues and dealing with them as fast as they can. The server capacity has already been increased by 50%, faster queue times, priority queue for those that DC'ed etc. This is all to be expected from an early access game.

Past all of those temporary issues lies a great game,
Positives:
  • 1. Movement is sharp and responsive
  • 2. Combat in instances is fluid and satisfying
  • 3. Default characters all feel unique with their own ability sets and unique weapons
  • 4. The world looks and feels amazing
  • 5. Enemy variety is vast each feeling unique to their respective environments
  • 6. Difficulty can be adjusted in the sense of playing solo, in a party, overgeared, undergeared
  • 7. For an early access game the amount of features will keep players busy for a while
  • 8. UI elements are introduced in a way that is easy to understand
  • 9. Lost sectors and instanced content feels really well crafted with creative puzzles, well thought out bosses and great
    envionments
  • 10. Customization of Lost sectors with imbuing elements into enemies and maps
  • 11. Unique battlepass system that is free
  • 12. Store items are purely cosmetic or fully skipping grinding for those that dont want to grind weapons which takes
    away from the enjoyment of the game
  • 13. Large amount of different weapons ranging from heavy/light/ranged/elemental that feel unique
  • 14. Housing system

Negatives:
  • 1. Loading times are increased as they are constantly working on improving servers
  • 2. Combat outside of instanced areas can feel a little laggy due to the server connections not being fully optimized yet
  • 3. To some people the game might be a bit too grindy
  • 4. UI can feel a bit tricky to navigate at first
  • 5. The game doesnt fully hold your hand in terms of telling you when to upgrade, it is up to player discretion when they
    want to grind materials to level
  • 6. Occasional stutters while in the large map

Conclusion... for now:
While the game will keep evolving and improving, as shown in the developers' roadmap. If you dont mind an occasional 10~ minute queue while launching the game, and rare lag during open world exploration. You are in for a treat, a game that can keep you busy with a large variety of combat, immersive locations, communicative development team that is passionate and just an overall great experience with a few hickups that will get ironed out over time.

Played the game for an hour, while the visuals are nice I was genuinely extremely surprised that there was 0 way to stealth the first instance even though it looked like a classis Assassins Creed outpost setup. I could sneak in bushes and climb around but I couldnt assassinate anyone with a one handed axe, I had to walk up to them from behind and light attack them 6 times to kill them hahaha.

Once I managed to get into the main building there was a "boss" which was a janky fight against a guy with 2 hammers who kept swinging them in a way that made it looked like the AI was bugged. After trying to kill him a couple of times, dying to 2 hit deaths once or twice I took him down and I decided the game isn't worth my time. I would much rather replay Odyssey again where the combat works, and I have the instant choice to play stealth.

OK so I think the hate the game is getting is somewhat true, the only problem is that the people are probably not keeping in mind that the studio of Define is very , very small. The fact that they have 12 (Somewhere around that) people is fascinating that the game is developed. The game has great potential and I believe throughout it's development the game will get better. The Battle royale aspect is pretty neatly done with great lobby when waiting to get into a game , I do know that there can be very few players but that is because the game is not well known. We will just have to wait and see, the price drop that the game will recieve will make it more than worth buying for only 10 Euro or Dollars. The fact that there will be more players will give the game a massive boost to get the game to where it should be. My final verdict is 6.5 / 10

There is so much to do in the game , Played it since 2014 but I took long breaks because the updates that they release are very far apart with little content usually. Some of the weapons are absolutely useless and some are fairly balanced but due to there being so many weapons it doesn't really matter. The game is a blast and it is free so why not try it, and maybe you will end up loving it.
