It starts fun but quickly devolves into tedium and frustration.

The physics are so inconsistent that just retrying with will have your stacked load of items behave differently each time you play. That stable setup you have? Now something has decided to slowly slide off your car... Then it happens in the editor. Then it doesn't happen. Make up your mind, game.

I played this a lot at release, and back then my only real complaint was that for a game full of all sorts of guns it sure felt stingy about giving them to you, or keys needed to open chests to maybe get them, or the ammo you need to use them. If it doesn't do one of these then the game becomes a samey boring slog with the default weapons, magnified by the enemies getting more health the deeper you go. Oh and the fact that it's dumb luck whether you get new guns rather than the ones you've seen dozens of times.

Playing 3 years later, they seem to have increased drop rates and added new ways to help with this along with new upgrade mechanics for holding related items. There's more levels I haven't seen yet.

Overall I'd say it's a great game that's better than it was at release, it just has that rogue-like problem that any given run could become boring as hell.

In this game you will:

Navigate locations with much underpants related architechture with the help of your tools and snarky radio (it's a short 3D platformer)!

Carve up the landscape with a laser and have chunks fall on top you and die (puzzles involving terrain manipulation)!

Attach rockets to things so they fly off into the distance making a mess where you want to go next (many ways of manipulating the terrain)!

Collect many 'boring stones' (most appropriate name for collectable items in a game ever)!

Witness the true power of underpants (it would be spoilers to tell you what they unleash)!

I picked this up the day after playing the demo, and after reading a lot of reviews that make complaints about different parts of it. The demo is a good representation of the final product, with there being mostly just more of everything in it in the full game, including anything that annoys you.

Worst part: Whenever you are required to make very precise jumps, mostly because a lot of the objects you jump on are not simple shapes and can get in the way. Getting stuck on a sofa at a key moment and plummeting to your death is not fun.

Best part: Dimension shifting is awesome and unlike anything I've seen before and the way it alters the appearance of the entire environment adds to this. You owe it to yourself to at least try the demo.

Bonus: Take one of the batteries from Ike when in the slow motion dimension to hear him make a sound worthy of a true interdimensional beast.

Do you want to make beings out of liquids that can do your bidding, then using them solve puzzles? If that sounds cool, then you should go play the demo, which is a good representation of the game as a whole, with the only real difference being there's much more of it. The puzzles range from easy to mind-boggling, though the game is weakest and can get frustrating when it requires precision since the physics aren't precise, though those points are mainly if you want achievements.

Overall, a fun and pretty looking puzzle-platformer that took me about 13 hours to do everything.

I picked this game up when it was pretty new and keep finding reasons to come back to it. I've found it to be one of the best tower defense games I've ever played, perhaps even the best.

Gameplay wise there's a lot of variety in the levels and how you can play them, varying in difficulty from pushover to devilishly hard. There's just enough types of towers to give you a lot of options but not enough for there to be any real overlap in their roles. The voice acting, while limited to just one character, (two if you count the "You Monster" DLC) is top notch.

In addition to all this the game has gotten plenty of love from the developer over time with bug fixes and DLC with new maps and gameplay. The "You Monster" DLC also has some gameplay very different to anything else so far.

Oh and there's a demo, so check that out!

"He's got me with his wire thing!!" - moments before attatching said wire thing to the back ouf your car/helicopter/plane to take him for a ride.

This game is a massive sandbox built for the express purpose of causing complete chaos (that's actually part of the plot, what little there is of that...) and it excels at that. There's a huge variety of stuff to destroy and a whole host of ways of destroying it. The world is also so big that even if you relentlessly march across the map blowing up everything destrucable in your wake you still won't be done days later.

Then you get bored of that and jump from a plane to hijack anther plane in mid flight. Just 'cause!
