So where do I start?

The Graphics:
Just all around amazing, the simple graphics style combined with strong color usage all around creates a bright and atmospheric style which is super pretty to look at. There are no big complex or unnecessary elements that make you nauseous or anything like that.
While I have a personal bias for this artstyle, my final rating will be 10/10 for thi category

The music:
With this soundtrack you can't do anything wrong, while the OST itself isn't memorable (sadly), the soundtrack is really freaking good. The use of music immerses you into the race and gives you an appropriate feeling for all of the tracks you play on.
The OST is buyable and very nice to listen to on occasions as well so I'll give this category an 8/10

Now to the important part,
The Gameplay:
This game rocks. There's not much to say about it. F-Zero fans will feel right at home in this environment, packing a control scheme for F-Zero fans as well to give you that nostalgic feeling. While it does not only have F-Zero elements it also packs a bunch of modes, good multiplayer and nice customization in almost every area to keep the game interesting. Time trials in this game ARE fun no matter if you usually don't like them or not.
I'll give this a solid 10/10.
