OW2 is a pretty good game. I bought OW1 and played a bit but really got back into it in OW2. The base game is basically the same and still holds up. I only have two complaints.

~The skins are way harder to get than before it was F2P, but it makes sense with the monetization style of OW2 (which I don't prefer however). This issue is exacerbated due to me having the chance to earn skins easier back when OW1 was a thing but it is my fault for not playing as much back then. I do wish there was a way for people who bought the game to earn more cosmetic rewards for their purchase other than the legacy credits.
~The heroes locked behind the battle pass. The cosmetics make sense, but new heroes locked behind a battle pass is neanderthal behavior. Again I understand the monetization style but new heroes are actually impactful to gameplay. I guess they are scrounging for possible additions to entice possible battle pass buyers.

Even the first issue is not too problematic I would think as a F2P player because people got the game for free.

Not delivering on promised PvE content is hilarious though. I wasn't a big fan of PvE stuff in general so it was not a huge loss for me but I can see why people went ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ over it.

Of course, i'm deciding to separate the art from the artist when talking about the company with sexual harassment lawsuits. Big companies do scummy things constantly, and I'm not supporting OW2 by purchasing skins anyways. Not like it makes a huge difference, I'm sure blizzard is shaking in their boots after losing one potential cash grab.

Overall, solid gameplay with a couple issues. Still a fun competitive game for free.

6/3/24 update: #fixTF2

Very nice game. I should include that i have 4.5k hours on a hijacked account. Such a good game, playing any one of the mercenaries is fun in its own right. Unfortunately, there aren’t that many updates, but its still fun nonetheless. A charismatic first person shooter that can easily get you hooked. Just not that beginner friendly I think, but once you know what you’re doing, its amazing, whether that is achieved through being friendly, competitive, or a combination of both.
