My name is Esportsmonies, ESM, MackTen, Mack ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Daddy, The King of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, whatever you want to call me, and I stream DotA 2.

Lots, and lots, and lots, of DotA 2. Some other games and stuff, but mostly dotes.

Once upon a time I ground my way to nearly 5000 MMR, back when the most anyone had made it to was under 7000. I played like 1000 games of Lycan with a 69% winrate. A guy named Mlcrosoft and I cooked up a pretty okay build on the hero, people eventually called it "Wolves Need No Armor".

Then I quit for 3+ years to go to graduate school. I came back and resolved not to spam Lycan, to force myself to learn the game from a more complete perspective.

I went from (calibrated) 4390 MMR to under 1500 within 3 months. I don't know how low I got; I was too afraid to check. I just remember seeing I was at 2025 after an unbelievably successful win streak. I had never seen that number so low.

I came back to DotA at the very start of September, 2018. As of July 4th, 2019, my MMR is about 3150. I feel like I'm fighting tooth-and-nail for each point some days, but I'm a thousand times the player that Lycan spammer was.
