Creative Assembly should look at this. People tend to enjoy not having to pay for this kind of content in a game that should have it as at least an option. Clockwork has my respect for this.

This game is disappointing to say the least. I've been looking for a game to scratch that Dragon Age itch that Origins provided over a decade ago. Just playing through the intro, I think I've seen all I needed to about what this game is. I have no desire or drive to play more to arbitrarily please people about time spent. The intro is awful, the dialogue and subtitles don't match each other or the setting it's describing, the gameplay is rough and the difficulty sliders didn't even seem to work when I was switching between them for testing it out in the combat.

Maybe they uploaded the wrong build, but missing a very important cutscene in the beginning of your game already shows the lack of polish and care that went into this game, not to mention the poor optimization. My frames were tanking in the intro just looking around and trying to move. This game is not finished and them "launching" it in this state is all I need to know. I'll get a refund and hope that for those who stick through it get a better experience, but I highly doubt it will.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game.

I mainly play the Game of Thrones mod and probably only have around 15 hours of the base game out of my entire 200+ hours. Even though they might have some of the worse forum policies I've seen so far, I still love the political intrigue that comes with the game. Dynasties rise and fall, nations conquered, etc. Shattered retreat has a mod that removes it from the game completely (which is good since I hate shattered retreat, mainly due to the fact that if an entire army is going to retreat they would be much less organized. Especially if 10-12,000 troops just died out of your 15,000. If anything the army would split and scatted randomly, not being much of an army anymore.)

Although I do hope for an RPG with similar political intrigue in the future (hopefully Game of Thrones based with smarter AI) as that would be a game of dreams for me.

Amazing stories can also be created in the game, and I love the changes in history (or the differences in the Game of Thrones storyline) that can be found throughout it all. It's all extremely satisfying and I hope for more great mods in the future.

Although when Crusader Kings 3 comes out you'll probably feel like your playing the first Crusader Kings on initial release. PI has a thing for reverting to it's base stage and making you pay for all the cool and interesting upgrades from the previous games through semi-expensive DLC.

At least it's not Train Simulator DLC.
