Combat is boring, and I've felt very lost on every quest objective. Can't figure out where to go or what to do.

I loved the first game but everything about this one feels worse.

Completely unusable menu system. I cannot even get into a game.

This game feels like it was tested by only speedrunners and extremely skilled veterans. Everything hits too hard. Basic traversal feels bad to get wrong, and is extremely easy to get wrong. Getting to any boss arena undamaged is a serious test in a way that does not feel good. Being able to run out of shards, combined with having no idea how far into a fight I am, makes me feel like I should never use my tools. I finally get good enough at a fight to maybe beat it and I'm out of ammo. Everything costs too much money, or money is way too hard to find. I can't open any benches because nothing near them drops money. Enemies' idle movement is wider than the range of my nail, I'm constantly getting hit by things that aren't even attacking me because they move too much, too fast.
There's a lot of really cool stuff in here, but I'm just not having a good time. I think I'm done.

The first few runs were rough, but once you learn how things work it's a great time.

"I've had this crab for ten minutes but when everything happens to it I will kill everyone in this room and then myself" is what I would have said if I could have put the game down to review it after my first couple of attempts.

I normally refuse to touch early access games, but Dan was having too much fun to not try it, and I am having an absolute blast.

The best survival city management game I've ever seen. Love it to bits.

Was expecting dark souls with guns, not oversimplified borderlands. Seems fine if what you want is a light co-op shooter, but a bonfire does not make it a souls-like.

3 full bonus missions, good stuff. I appreciate Daud's slightly different kit from Corvo's to change things up a little, though I wish I'd had a little longer to use it.

Edit: I left this review before starting Brigmore Witches; I did not realize you also play Daud in that one. Wish granted!

An excellent example of turn-based tactics, and proof the genre doesn't need combat to be great.
