Six minutes read review for Skyrim V Enhanced

Unnecessary download from the scratch

The last time Skyrim V had a remaster exclusively to PC and next gen it was nice, though only now they included Ray Tracing for video cards that are able to run it, and the computer in general that can handle new specs. The last time they added things that were really new---actually new stuff, such as FPS mode.

With the latest Enhancement, I could barely spot any differences this time, other than Ray's, such as... animals once exclusive to Single Player Mode are now roamming freely in the Online---something that should have been since the Online started, and some crappy ass missions (the ones not worth doing) and some new cars once exclusive to some other consoles. Something that could top the previous Enhanced version should have included new islands or new gameplay reestructure to be more up-to-date with 2025. That's not the case.

Because of that Rockstar decided it was worthy to create a whole new separated software, a bit more compressed, to reinstall around 90gb... rather than 100gb... You can also make a subscription and pay monthly, something I wasn't aware of. Why would anyone do that is beyond me. They never added Las Venturas or San Andreas into the map, there is literally nothing consistently new. It is not a worthy service game. I don't get it.

Instead of just updating the main game with the new additions, players are forced to uninstall the old, now called Legacy, and reinstall the so called Enhanced mode. Players will notice you have zero achievements and everything else on it dead, but users needs to go through account migration and achievements from the old, to the "new game."

Incompetent support

This is when my particular problems started. As a player since 2015, I could not migrate the account due some unknown issues and Rockstar support took the entire week to fix it. One of the operators working on the case had no clue of what was happening regardless of video and screenshot evidence of the prompts, and simply closed the case. I had to redo a ticket three times through the week, until suddenly someone replied saying "as we stated before, your problem has been fixed and you can now migrate and access your account." No one told me sheat. But thanks?

Let's talk about privacy

As the world finally becomes the corporate dystopia Robocop movies warned us about, you may think the new EULA you need to agree on is sinister or evil in some way. I don't like it but I didn't see anything bizarre at the level of Japanese games such as Elden Ring or Street Fighter. The data collected about you is mostly how you play it. Not who you're banging in extra-marital relationships or the color of your pajamas when you go to sleep, like Japanese games usually scares everybody with the contract. If they collect your data any further you kinda deserve it, for using real credit card money to buy GTA cash with it. As for USA players, DOGE already has your Social Security number anyway so you're screwed either way.

Attrocious gameplay and bugs and glitches remains

Open up the eyes and do the math. Up to 13 years since its release, its only natural some stuff aged badly.

After 3 remasters---2014's Enhanced, then 2015's Enhanced and Expanded, then 2025 Enhanced (again)--- and after all this trouble people will think it was worthy, but the same general issues continues.

The same bugs on all the heists, special missions, local and other crazies remains pretty much the same. Don't believe it, find some videos on Youtube and check it yourself. There is one particular thing I never liked on GTA V though. The cover system. GTA: San Andreas and IV was a hundred times better with crouching and covering system.

You take cover, it barely works or responds in time. You leave cover, character spins around confused not knowing what to do. The always unresponsive, clunky, absurd gameplay gets a bit better in first person mode.

Ok but why? Because Skyrim V is from 2013 and the remaster included cameras in 2015, hence why its more modern and up-to-date. This is a prime example you can apply to everything else surrounding the system. There is nothing new.

Gameplay in special business missions are just legally hacked

It still is very rigged: you waste money buying expensive super cars and military grade vehicles, but you still can't summon then when its really needed. You're usually handicapped in Agency missions, Car stealing, special business missions like that with drunk-like control wheels. Tires keeps exploding or helicopter engines suddenly fails when no NPC is firing at it at all. It still is an artificial clipping chaos instead of natural fun chaos. The reason for all this is to balance how fast you can perform a mission.

You're not supposed to be a good player, you're supposed to waste money with ammo, equipment and things you can't use when it is really needed. A few examples summon the overall issues. Everything remains the same. Same bugs, same exploits, same technical issues, clunky gameplay getting old, it is a remaster of a remaster that only invites players because of Ray Tracing and that's it.

Skyrim V Enhanced Final Score: 5.0/10 It is just trying to milk some Benjamins with low grade effort

If you just want to see Ray Tracing anyway then I'd recommend to go play the story mode, where your fun will be more fun and less stress level of the mentioned above.

I tuned out after you started spouting left wing propaganda, and from someone who pays essentially zero attention to politics that's saying something xD not to mention turning your steam page into a political hate speech board is genuinely embarrassing and I beckon you reevaluate your character. Gaming IS NOT the place for that
