I've never been a fan of short games, but I'll be damned if this one wasn't good. I love platformers and this one beats almost any other platformer game I've played (certainly Sonic '06 if anything). It felt great to have solid controls that made me feel like it was my fault for missing a jump rather than it being the game's fault and I can rarely say that about a lot of platformer games I've played in the past (that includes Cuphead) and it didn't feel like I needed dumb luck in order to pass a level or boss. Something about the levels though, the atmosphere whilst playing them was too amazing not to mention, and I did come across a few visual bugs while I played, nothing game-breaking of course, but still noteworthy (such as the Sun dissappearing at a specific angle in the front of the train in Murder on the Owl Express or a bug where I would go T-pose in Alpine Skylines after being attacked by a cat). Speaking of which, this game did not ♥♥♥♥ around when it said "cute". As much as I don't want to admit it, I'm a sucker for cute, and this game just takes the cake. Almost every character, scene and place was riddled with it. The character's stories, however, weren't exactly cute, but certainly memorable (such as The Tale of Queen Vanessa). All in all, despite the fact the game itself is short, the design, controls and gameplay well make up for it, no questions asked.
