I really like just how many layers there are to this game. Hypnospace Outlaw puts the player in control of an antidesign addled adventure in a neat, net-based world.

Definitely scared me in a wholesome way.

It took a few playthroughs to actually make it to the end. People who make it to the end should pay respects to the mouse.

RIP lil bubber.

PROS: environmental sounds allow the player to become fully immersed; headphones recommended.
CONS: The game itself is essentially one long corridor - invisible walls keep the player from doing anything but what the next step is.

There is a lot left to be desired with this game.

Movement is sluggish, bulky. Even when using the left shift to sprint, there's very little noticable movement change. Likewise, there's some bug errors having to do with the mouse, and opening multiple menus.

If examaning an item, one can open the map or the quit to main screen menu, and this seems to confuse and bug out the cursor. The game itself is very slow on the pickup and thirty minutes in, left me wondering if I would be slowly, sluggishly, finding my way out of this odd survivor horror style game.

Not sure it quite knows what it wants to be either.

Prepare to Die?

Exactly what it says on the tin.

Let me tell you about my first experience with this game. 12 hours of grueling torture.
Dies? "I DON'T GET WHY PEOPLE LIKE THIS GAME"

*plays for another two hours*

The environments flow very well into and out of each other, and overall, I can tell that I've already gotten my money's worth from this game.

I've also probably set some sort of dying record.

Oh and PS: You're seriously going to hate yourself if you're playing WASD on this one; just get the controller.
