Eve Online is the best game I have ever played. Have you ever gotten adrenaline shakes from game combat before? You will get them all the time in Eve fleet battles. You will need a cigarette after this game is done with you. It's also free to play and the skill system is broad but only about 3 months deep, so if you focus you can be as good as any 20 year veteran on the ship you want to specialize in!

Sadly, there are two catches.

Catch Number 1: This is the only MMO that actually requires you to play with people. Seriously playing it alone sucks and you will quit. Find good people, this is absolutely crucial. You will hate it without people I promise.

Catch Number 2: Catch number 2 has been resolved since my original 2016 review! There is now stuff worth doing for people who only have an hour or less to play! Yay. More reasons to like the game.

I can't praise this game highly enough...but I wish I still had the free blocks of time to play it. Its like nothing else, and I've been looking for a replacement for this rush for almost 10 years now. Still no luck. it's utterly unique.
