Steam Deck users! Here's a fix to all the stuttering, and lag issues:

Be sure to download the relavent Mods to fix the stuttering issues, and disable adaptive resolution mods to fix the game. Also change the resolution to 1600 to fix some of the lag.

Install the following two Mods,

1.https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy7remake/mods/22

2.https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy7remake/mods/586

Switch the resolution 1600. Turn off HDR, turn shadows to Low. Texture High.

After that, Final Fantasy 7 Remake runs amazing on Steam deck.

The game then runs flawlessly at 40fps! Drops minimum to 30 in some places.

Let me know if you need more info to better enhance the experience on the steam deck!

OMG, ty for the tip! I've been having a rough time with this game, the stuttering is killin' me. I'll definitely try this out, tho I think my steam deck is already pretty good, lol.

Check ProtonDB for user reports on Linux and Steam Deck. Many say this game is running fine out of the box, but there are a bunch of different suggested tweaks you can try. I'm curious why you're suggesting setting the resolution to 1600 though, Steam Deck is 1280x800.
