I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME ENOUGH. Doom 2016 was a triumph. This is the next logical evolution and is a sheer MASTERPIECE of a game. This is not just your typical run and gun FPS game as you might expect. Does it have those elements? MOST DEFINITELY but there is so much more.

The additional mantel climging, double jump and dashing forward, plus grappling give an entire new becy of movement options as well as new muscle memory added to your FPS repertoire for platforming and puzzle solving. There is also a ton of customization over your typical "DOOM" weaponry.

This is my 2020 GAME OF THE YEAR. I have never been so impressed and I am an OG Doom / Doom 2 Hell on Earth.

If you see this game on sale, GET IT. If you don't see this on sale but want a challenge and an adrenaline laced platforming, FPS, with some new weapon/ammo economy strategic thinking, GET THIS GAME.

Did i say "GET THIS GAME" enough?

Does NOT require Doom 2016 or any prior knowledge as the story line (yes, there is story finally) fills in any lack of knowledge from prior experiences.

MATURE CONTENT - considering the GORE, RIPPING AND TEARING, and OVERALL ACTION, this game is not one i'd recommend for younger children.

This is an awesome TellTale Adventure game. I'm not familiar with the comic/graphic novel that it's based on but the concept of fairy tale creatures in modern times, in modern roles and personality is extremely appealing. Investigating murders as the local sheriff, aka "The (former) Big Bad Wolf" and the variety of possible story scenarios impacted by your decisions is excellent.

NOT FOR YOUNG CHILDREN -- This is definitely mature content, however, so is not for young children, despite the fairy tale creature backgrounds. Prostitution, drug use, and other adult themes abound.

The art aesthetic is excellent as is the music and sound design.

This game is an excellent blend of D&D rules book and great "bioware style" character and story development. If you've played and enjoyed Dragon Age, particularly DAI, you will feel very familiar here. I usually tell people if you take the D&D rules/dice rolls, throw in some DAI Character and Story impacted by dialog choices, with the slickness of the Divinty Original Sin 2 engine, you get the perfect RPG. My only warning is that it is still quite EARLY access, incomplete story (only Act 1), buggy crashes, and a recent character /save game reset are all common here so patience is required. Amazing Potential though and looking forward to this coming to full completion.
