To address some points raised in reviews that nearly threw me off from buying this game, that may or may not have been fixed by recent updates:
  1. Copy-pasting code inside a bot is easy (Ctrl+C). Once you unlock bots Mk2, some actions (like move/add targets) can be changed remotely 'in the code', with no need to record new actions with the player.
  2. Copy-pasting entire bot programs are relatively easy with a Crude Data Storage (a disk). Once you unlock the Bot Database, then it becomes a breeze (you can search for bots by name, upload/download programs to and from them remotely).
  3. I encountered a couple of bugs, but neither required a game restart to fix, a 'restart' of the bot was enough. In other instances, I thought the game was glitching (ex. when your bot enters a never-ending loop trying to get/put stuff in a container that you just moved), but it was me doing stupid things in the bot's code. Apart from that, the game has been remarkably solid, runs well even with the 150+ bots I currently have.
  4. There are tedious tasks in the game which can be automated, but it's not easy to see how. For example, until I got bots with decent scan range, I had a 'bot recharge team' parading around with a sign to charge the bots (tedious to keep up with an expanding base). Now I just sprinkle some recharge duties across some bots.. Other examples of neat automation you can do: Terraforming (turning an area with bushes, rocks, etc into empty turf); creating soil patches; upgrading bots; building stuff (aka 3D printing)

That being said, I have a few gripes of my own:
  1. Having to move the character around for stuff like editing signs is upsetting, especially given how useful they are. (EDIT: just realized I can carry a couple of them with me in the backpack)
  2. I haven't (yet) found a reason to diversify food/toy/clothes production, other than getting the award for X amount of items produced. I think the spaceship cargo thingy fixes this, given the random missions you get from them, but I haven't used that feature yet.
  3. Using just the in-game help, it's not straightforward to figure out what you need to level up your colonists, or what tools can be replaced with an upgrade.

Despite all that, I full-heartedly recommend this game to anyone, really, It's light and easy enough to get started, and deep enough to get your money's worth in entertaining hours.
It's relaxing (there are no adversities in the game), well made, and fun. One of my favorites.

Best way to fill your nooks and crannies of free time.
Even better way to fill your entire day.
It's casual enough to pick it up for a quick 5 minute match while waiting for dinner to cook, and serious enough to spend an entire afternoon battling your way through the ranks, just never stops being fun.

I love the visuals of this game, so characteristic.
I love the mechanics of the game, so easy to pick-up, so hard to master.
I love the community of players, more than enough cool and nice players to outbalance the inevitable toxic ones.
I love the e-sports events that spawned from this game, getting better every year, games are so competitive and engaging.

I love this game, and I'm sure so will you.

This game is awesome.

I use it as a time killer when I'm installing a new game or something, and always end up playing wayy past the time the other instalation finished.

The goal is to grab boxes, which contain a gun. You use that gun to kill the bad guys in your way to the next box, which will yield you yet a different gun. Simple? Yup! Addictive? You bet! It's insanely addictive, you will find yourself frenetically respawning to get to that target score to unlock something new.

It is lightweight enough for you to play lag-free during high loads in your computer (such as installing some big-ass game), and it is free! And even if it wasn't, is well worth some 5 bucks.

If you use Windows 8 however, you're in for a disappointment, as this game suffers from a sound issue in Windows 8 which causes the game to crash.
