If you liked Amberland 1 and 2, you will like Amberland 3.

I like the introduction of the clue system - it felt pretty good as a mechanic for quests. The new classes were fun to play with as well.

Not as much of a leap in feature richness as it was from 1 to 2, but overall a solid entry. Fingers crossed for getting a 4th!

If you liked Disco Elysium and/or you're a DnD player, this game is probably up your alley. Inspired by DE's systems but very much its own thing.

If you like good writing at all, play this. Memorable, warm, funny.

10/10

One of the few open world games where you straight up _can_ do _anything._ Rough learning curve and hard start to most games, but worth it.

Early Access Review
Quite charming. I've been enjoying it.

Played it through once, loved the writing enough to play it through again for a second ending. Watched the third ending.

Combat's fine, but some monsters really are just damage soaks that on runs after the first can sometimes feel like they're there to pad things out.

Performance is pretty bad on Linux w/ an Nvidia card, but that's normal for anything using DX12 and is Nvidia's fault. Get an Engine.ini off of Nexus or suffer.

Overall: Strong recommendation if you like Silent Hill as a series, recommend it but wait a bit for some of the performance problems to get smoothed out if you don't.

It's hard, but once you get through the first few bosses you get a bunch of movement abilities that make it open up beautifully. ...it doesn't get easier, it just gets a lot more fun.

Has all the things from HK that made it great: Tight controls, good boss design, beautiful art, great music.

Great old-school survival horror. Recommend changing the controls to modern unless you've got a strong desire to _really_ feel like you're playing it on a PS1.

Brilliant co-op game. Hats off to whoever did the interaction design for the controller app, it is truly seamless either locally or remote.

Can't recommend this enough. If you like Gloomhaven, you'll like this. If you've never heard of Gloomhaven, think co-op, hex-based XCOM where the enemy actions are entirely known to you and there is very little randomness.

Enjoyed it greatly - the opening is pretty tough, but that just makes you feel stronger when you finally get to midgame.

I haven't enjoyed a roguelike this much since the first time I played NetHack. Been a LONG time since something's given me the same level of "you can do anything" this game does.
