the game is really fun, the writing is really good, the side quests are engaging, the crashing is insufferable, im writing this review immediately after I

>opened the game
>got to the main menu
>crashed instantly

I'm on an i912900k/3080 10GB/64GB DDR5/Samsung 980 Pro, unacceptable ngl

if you can deal with constantly restarting the game and crashing for seemingly no discernable reason, buy it, otherwise just wait a couple months.

Im refunding this game, I dont know what the problem is but on these specs: i9-12900k | 3080 10GB | 64GB DDR5
Almost 100% of my GPU is being used at all times regardless of settings, until this problem is fixed (and who knows maybe its just me) I cannot recommend this game since I'm sure I'm not the only person this has happened to, I'd love to play this game but I'm not using 100% of my GPU at all times do so, MW2 runs better on max settings.

Really hope this gets looked at since this game looks amazing.

I don't often leave reviews for games unless I have a gross amount of hours in them so I can say something funny like "game bad" but if you're a new or returning light I'd highly recommend you get in/back into the game right now. There's so much content, so many new guns, the power grind feels rewarding to partake it, and there's never been a better time to dive headfirst back into the game. I was having a hard time figuring out what games to play so when I heard Witch Queen released I bought it and told myself "We're getting addicted to this game" and as you can see with my "107+ hrs in the last two weeks" it's needless to say that I have. I felt overwhelmed with my current character so I started fresh and did something I've never done before, make a titan. I started and beat the new campaign on legendary with a default sentinel titan and some exotics that I happened to pick up ages ago (I had 300+ hours when this game was still on the BattleNet client). The challenge was so rewarding to finally conquer and the loot I got in return was equally fulfilling. For those of you worried about not having people to play with I'd highly recommend finding a clan! Having a small group of people to play with really makes the experience of D2 much more enjoyable. I used to be a squeaky little 14 year old in D1 so I ended up soloing all the raids I could but as I recently got back into the game I stumbled upon someone and after some talking asked to join their clan. I can confidently say that being apart of a clan encourages you to play more, allows you to have a better time, and overall increases your QoL in the game substantially.

TLDR: This game just got hit with a new wave of fun, even more fun if you manage to find people to play with (with shouldn't be that hard with LFG servers on Discord). The content is rewarding, the power-grind doesn't feel like a slog, and theres a handful of new exotics that've been added to the game which are wildly fun to use/get.

9/10 Bungie bring back Necrochasm.

EDIT: 10/10 THEY BROUGHT BACK NECROCHASM

I have a 2080 and this game runs like trash.
the worlds are small and this is anything but open world. It's more akin to "levels" than actual open landscapes. I was expecting a co-op PVE game w/ gameplay similar to rust x no mans sky but was just met with disappointment.
To put in perspective how small the worlds are it took me barely 2 minutes to run from one side of the map to the other.

Let me start this by saying this is a very hit-or-miss game for many people. Anyways, lets continue.

If I didn't get this game for free because of Nvidia I would've never have played it since I honestly think this game isn't worth 20 bucks seeing as how boring & buggy the entire game is. If you like boring horror, buy this game. If you know how to spend your money, don't.

Early Access Review
>downloaded game
>make the biggest character I possibly can
>name them "ipunchthings"
>punch things

10/10

But in all seriousness here's my review. This game is enjoyable! You can have a lot of fun with it especially with friends. The PvE is pretty good imo, the bosses are difficult and there are plenty of ways to approach beating them. You feel rewarded after being the bosses since you slowly but surely level up your gear by beating them.

Here's were my liking for the game stops.

I recently learned you have to PvP in order to rank up. Now this isn't the issue for me, I love PvP! When its done right. I was having so much fun in this game until I went into my first PvP matches.

Now, before I discuss it let me explain to you there are about 4 types of play styles or "Karmas" as they're called. Blazing Fist, which punches things, Diabolical Witch, which uses a staff and magic, Sword Taliah, which uses a great sword, and Dance of the Wind, which uses bows. Now each of these have their each unique play styles but heres were the issue is.

All that PvP is, is people using and spamming bows. In my first 5 games of PvP I was miserable since all everyone ever does is use bows. The PvP play style is "run and shoot" and it's an awful experience. If the devs made it so PvP was optional to rank up instead of being MANDATORY it'd make their game a lot more enjoyable because as it is now the entire game is just getting stun-locked by bows in PvP. So if you want a decent PvE experience you'll have fun for about the first 2 hours of this game and that's were the fun stops because then you're forced to PvP if you want to continue PvEing. So as the game is now I cannot recommend you play it.

this game is boring. Removing the leveling system and making it so your gear doesn't carry over in zones is boring. I bought this since I remembered how fun the old alpha was but this is just so bland. Pregenerated world? I thought "Infinite Worlds" was kinda Cube Worlds whole deal. I can't use my gear I grinded for in zones the way over? Lame. I'm not trying to be a narc but this game is just boring to play. It has the same Alpha Cube World feel in the start but I don't think I've ever seen a game stop you from using the gear you grinded for unless for a raids/boss where the game tells you that you wont be able to change gear. Its just so linear. Linear works for some games but for this it's just tedious.

Kill Things> Get loot>Get locked out of using that loot>Kill things to replace the loot you grinded hours for>repeat.

Seriously, the old system was so much better but just lacked CONTENT. There was nothing wrong with the game.
I can't suggest that you buy this game and instead go back to playing the old 2013 alpha until these issues are fixed. Maybe in a another few years Wolfram and Pixxie will get it right.
