Writing this review after logging 2000+ hours between this game and the first. TBH I wasn't a huge fan of either Total War or Warhammer, but this game was a marriage made in strategy game heavan. I'm personally convinced that this series will go down as one of the most ambitious crossovers in gaming history. For those of you complaining about the prices, I'd be mindful to remind you that 'you get what you pay for', and CA has certainly delivered on that. If you guys think SEGA is milking this thing too much, maybe you should try looking at what EA did to the Command & Conquer series (RIP Westwood).

Pros:
-Wide range of unique faction rosters and strategic play style approaches
-Immense replayability
-Deep lore and story telling

Cons:
-Game still buggy years after release (many improvements have been made, however)
-Difficulty levels were poorly managed (I.e. high difficulties simply make it more expensive for the player to field additional armies, it would've been fine with simple stat buffs/debuffs requiring the player to be more creative with how they utilize the various types of units, but the way CA handled it just seems annoying and un-fun)
-"Ritual Events" could have been handled better, right now it's based primarily on random numbers game which encourages the player to savescum to get better outcomes.

Conclusion: I paid full price when the game came out and it was easily worth every penny. If you're a fan of turn based strategy, fantasy, Total War or Warhammer, you'll likely find this game extremely satisfying to play. The only major complaint I have about this game is the absurd unit maintenance on higher difficulties. All-in-all I'm very happy, and eagerly await the 3rd installment of this enchanting franchise. Kudos CA!

Anyone who say's they didn't enjoy Gat out of Hell simply didn't play it! Yeah, the main story is short, but paying $3.74 (on-sale) for 6 hours of playtime is more than a fair trade off in my book. It had the typical Volition gags twists and puns, and the devs have set themselves up for some wicked future game possibilities with the multiple endings!

All-in-all, I enjoyed it, and I highly recommend if you see it on sale.

Early Access Review
This is what I imagined Half-Life 2 episodes were going to be like when Gabe announced a calendar of promises that Valve never kept. I've held off from playing this game for nearly a year, and since then the developers have done a remarkable job of adding new and amazing content. What's more is their timely execution, as I write this I sit in great anticipation for what I beleive will be a climatic finish to the beautifully rendered world of Subnautica.
