Early Access Review
This game is a great concept for the horror genre. Phasmophobia hardly scares you with jump scares, and really just with fear of the unknown. The ghost hunting idea is excellent and makes for a great VR co-op experience. There are lots of great things about this game, however, it also needs a lot of improvement.

Issues
- After you understand the basic concept of the game, it gets very repetitive quite fast. It becomes less frightening the more you play as you learn all of the practical scares and discover what the game has to offer. The ghosts and maps are all extremely similar and after a while, it just becomes a rinse and repeat kind of game. Understandably, this is an Early Access game, and I hope they add more content, maps, and modes to lessen the repetitiveness.

- The game is also very easy once you learn the mechanics. And I mean like, really easy. The thermometer is OP in the early levels (called Amateur) which unfortunately they take a lot of time to get out of. This means most of the players experience won't be challenging, giving a bad impression of the game. The lack of difficulty is also what makes the game repetitive (until the later levels).

- Bugs. Again, these should be fixed so this shouldn't be a major issue, but my friends and I have counted bugs into the double digits that we experience quite often. Door glitching, breaking, and getting stuck are just some of the ones you will experience.

- Finally, this game is heavily tailored for VR. If you plan to play with a keyboard and mouse, the controls can be awkward and seem unconventional. Walking is EXTREMELY slow in this game, and all I can compare it too is the speed of crouch-walking in other games. Plus, sprinting hardly does anything. Controls in the van such as having to physically click the keyboard and mouse on the computer just feel weird. Also, for really no reason, you can carry 4 items in VR and only 3 with a keyboard and mouse. This handicap is very annoying at times when trying to place down all of your items.

Conclusion
This game has the potential to be one of the best co-op horror experiences on Steam, however, I personally don't believe it deserves a 97% positive rating right now. That being said, all I think this game needs is a little improvement and if you are thinking of purchasing it, I would really only advise you to buy it right now if you just want something to play with friends when you're bored.

I absolutely love theme park simulation games. The entire RCT series I adored. I am happy to confirm, that is game is in fact a great game and makes a good spiritual successor to the RCT series. The precise detail of this game is amazing, and though others complain about the management, I personally think its great.

However I can absolutely NOT recommend you buy this game.

It is a shame that Frontier had to make the extremely poor decision to lock so much great content behind DLC. Even to this day I look at a DLC pack thinking "Wow, that is a cool ride and would make a great addition to my park". Then scroll down to see it is a whopping 16 DOLLARS FOR A FEW NEW BLUEPRINTS AND A COUPLE EXTRA RIDES? It is absolutely unbelievable. This game had so much potential, but Frontier's shameless greed has turned this game into a micro-transaction cash-grab. Let me rephrase that- a MAJOR-transaction cash grab, because for the deluxe edition (all of the DLC), it totals 110 dollars for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ theme park sim.

Come on Frontier, I desperately hope you read this review. You have buried this game in unacceptable DLC-based bullcrap and I am started to lose the itch to play it. It is absolutely brutal how many features in the DLC should have just been added to the game. If you even do update the game that is, because lately it seems you have only been adding new DLC.

I could rant about this for so long but I should probably stop now. Frontier has lost my respect for this disgusting materialism.

EDIT: This review was posted 4 years ago; however, I still have absolutely ZERO shame in writing this. Go take a look at Planet Zoo if you haven't. The amount of DLC for that game has already surpassed the amount for Planet Coaster and the game hasn't been around nearly as long. RCT 3, which was arguably the best theme park management game, only had 2 DLC which completely innovated the game. Frontier chose the contemporary micro-transaction model for their games, introducing high-priced DLC for a low quantity of content.
If you want to disagree with me and pay enormous sums of money to enjoy these games completely, that's fine. But I would start re-evaluating why you're meat-riding this company when they are malicious enough to allow you to USE the DLC, but not save it in your park. DIsgusting.

CS:GO Review
Its a fun FPS that not only provides an interesting matchmaking system and competitive gameplay, but a trading aspect to it as well. The weapon skins make it even more interesting. Great game.
