You have to want to play this game. Could not even activate this game without jump through hoops.
Very complicated game. Not worth my time to try to figure it out. If I didn't get it as an extra title in a humble bundle I'd be pissed about having spent any amount of money on this thing that pretends to be a game but seems to just be a crappy DRM experiment.

Hardcore Civilization Sim people might like this game but anyone else should run like hell.

What can I say about Far Cry 3? The game is pretty. That is the only good thing I have to say about this game.

The following review may contain spoilers!!! You've been warned!!!
You start Far cry 3 and the first thing you notice is how great everything looks and you think to yourself "This is gonna be great". Since this is a game that lets you free roam you do the first storyline mission, maybe two and then you just go explore. The problem with exploring is there really isn't anything to explore. You have to liberate the radio tower in an area to unlock the map and then you get 2-3 camps to liberate to remove enemy soldiers from the area. The only other thing to do is find all the collectible crap that might unlock signature weapons but mostly is just there to keep the OCD people playing until they complete 100%. Everything that was fun or interesting about the game was over by the time I finished the first island. The second island in the game was not fun at all and contains pretty much every crappy gimmick that has been put into video games in the past decade. Seriously timed button presses, mini games, and poorly made rail shooters. I only completed the storyline missions on the second island just so I could finish the game. It wasn't fun, interesting, or engaging. It seems like they knew their game was bad so they decided to make you have to jump through hoops to unlock literally everything in the game. You have to unlock the map, the weapons, extra weapon slots, extra ammo slots, all the skills, literally everything. Nothing in this game happens without you performing some kind of grind. This isn’t fun, what happened to the days when games were fun?
