As of now, I cannot recommend this to anyone. Overall, it isn't a bad game. The career mode concept is fun (just not fully drawn out yet, they could easily add a little more detail to make it amazing,) and I love the dirt track mode. As pretty much everyone says it is NOT a sim. I'm more of a sim guy myself, and enjoy NR2003 over any other NASCAR game. The ai is ok, and over all the racing experience is fine. My problem is with the apron. ♥♥♥♥ the apron. Seriously apparently this guy is some sort of ancient NASCAR Heat demon from the lowest depths of hell (I've read this has been an issue in the past.) If you so much as blow the edge of the apron's butthole a kiss you completely lose your car and snap around backwards. Of course touching the apron can slow you down/loosen you up a bit, i expect it to. It's one thing to lose a few spots and have to make that ground up. While annoying, in most cases it's pretty realistic. However it's whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ different pile of ♥♥♥♥ to completely snap around backwards every time you touch the white line in a corner. I've been giving this game a chance, I actually for the most part like it. I came in to it understanding it's not a sim, and I decided I wanted a more fun pick up and go experience with it. But how many times do I need to run 95% of a race, battling hard to stay in the top 10 only to have an awkward restart or be put in a 3 wide situation where i accidentally tap the white line and BOOM the entire race is for nothing. I can put up with most of the other issues this game has but this one is game breaking and really makes it hard for me to keep playing it. The other issues I have with this game are so tiny in comparison that I'm not even going to bring them up. If this apron issue were fixed I'd re-write this review, recommend the game and go on in more det ail about the good things and maybe the smaller issues I have. Apron rant over.
