every battle is a siege battle, the stages used to have interesting routes to the main base. you can't tell units to advance, defend, or accompany you. That being said, the character designer is really good, you can make basically any face for your custom character, the hair has fully programmed jiggle-physics so it flows in the wind. But there's only like 5 outfits you can dress them in so. idk. I miss the cool combos every character had in the last game. It's way worse than dynasty warriors 8 empires. Better than dynasty warriors 9 main game though that was even worse.
