Generally a great arcard experience. The biggest issue I have is that they state it has 100 games but really its just all 2600 ports. Since this package only licensed Atari made games there's a lot of classics that are missing so be sure to check the games list before buying.

Do you enjoy moving little shape people from place to place? Than this might be the game for you!

Mini Metro is a cleverly designed (dare I say cute) strategy game based upon public transportation systems. You are tasked to design metro layouts on the fly as your city continues to exponentially grow.

Note that I didn’t say simulation game. That’s because at it’s core it isn’t. Mini Metro’s approach is very simple, relieving the player from ticket prices, pan-handlers, collisions or anything that makes real transit systems a nuisance. Don’t come into this game expecting a realistic train simulator by any means. The only objective is to move passengers as efficiently as possible for as long as you can.

Session can go indefinitely. The incentive is to reach a curtain high score to unlock new city maps. Passengers are represented by basic shapes. Circles, squares, triangles, etc. Their shape is also an indication as to where they want to go to; as all the locations are basic shapes also. Each map starts off with a few station locations and you simply click and drag out “lines” (tracks) between the points.

In the beginning this quite easy but as time goes on and more locations appear it gets more and more challenging as some of the shapes are less common than others. This forces the player to not only work at a local or micro level but work city wide. Making you create new lines across the entire map to ensure the riders can get to their destination.

Thankfully the game is forgiving, allowing you to delete, modify and rebuild lines at anytime. This is very nice as a design that may have worked with on a earlier when the city was less complex may no longer work on a complex, city-wide system. If you want more of a challenge this feature can be disabled.

Overall I’m very impressed by Mini Metro’s balanced of simplicity and difficulty.

Best 90s era reboot in quite a few years. If you want to sink your teeth into something old school, but new, this is the way to go. No "Modern" crap like health regen and stuff like that. To me its the most hardcore FPS this year.
