This game shows a lot of promise. It has a great art style like the first game, and the concept is still good. Unfortunately, the game is pretty buggy. By day 30 I had all sorts of issues - the UI was cluttered with phantom icons for built buildings or resources. The clock in the bottom right corner stopped working, even though time still passed. The game probably could've used a couple months in early access at least. Also, equipping your bonfire guards night after night is extremely tedious. I'm not sure how to solve that issue - maybe each job gets a "set" of equipment that gets equipped whenever a villager starts doing that job. I also think the progression is really slow, like some days you notice almost nothing gets completed. I think the game shows promise and I wish the devs the best of luck. I will happily return to my review if some updates address the issues I had.

EDIT1 - since this morning, the game has been patched to fix issues with the time UI and icons floating above buildings for no reason. I appreciate the quick patches. I hope some of the UX issues can be addressed - one thing I would really like is if right-click functioned as a "back" button when using various menus. Often the only way to go "back" is by clicking the back button. Seems like non issue but pretty much all you do is click menus in games like this, so it helps! lol. I look forward to more updates.
