Early Access Review
The game is broken on Linux right now. I tried to report the problem but the community was incredibly, profoundly toxic. Operating system tribalism doesn't help a developer grow, especially when Steam Deck sales are so important.

So, yes. As of right now? I can't recommend this game to Linux users or Steam Deck owners. In part because it's broken right now, obviously, but also due to how toxic and exclusionary (over an operating system) the community is. It's ridiculous.

Hey AuldWolf,

Firstly sorry for the interaction you had with an individual member of the community. There has been moderation actions against them due to breaking Steams TOS. The majority of the community is extremely helpful.

On the Linux issue, whilst we don't directly support it because of our resources. Your info is useful to us. On that, we have devs internally and other community members who are not experiencing any issues with PWS on the Steam Deck. There should also not have been an update to the game since the original 0.8 on the 2nd of March.

Usually the launch issues are tied to software clashes, most commonly with anti-virus software marking the Steam default DRM package with PWS as a threat. Or occasionally graphics driver clashes. It may be helpful to share a dxdiag or system specs if possible in that report just for more info if you are willing to continue help.

We'll be keeping an eye on this and thanks again for the report.
