We've created a perpetual desire that we always need to be doing more and more; that we have to outdo ourselves or others constantly, or be better than the next person we come across; that we have to have everything by our 20s or 30s (our life-time partner, 6-figure paying job, a house, etc); that if we take one pause that we fall behind. We've centered ourselves around efficiency and productivity.

If you take a step back to look at it all you will find how social media is exposing ourselves to this and continues to feed this mindset. It's distorted our view of what we should be doing, or should have done, or simply, should be.

What we all fail to do is appreciate the moments we live in. If you slow down and reflect on things you'll find things you hadn't noticed before, things that reveal themselves when you take a step back to observe.
