From one of the worst launches in history to endless performance problems, No Man's Sky takes the cake for biggest disappointment of all time. It is a perfect example of an indie darling that got carried away with all the attention it was receiving, headed by a designer who clearly has no idea how to keep his mouth shut in front of a camera. There have been many games that promosed more than they could deliverbut never one so publicly as this.

Despite all that, No Man's Sky presents us an awesome idea of what games could be and an aesthetic that many will seek to replicate for years to come. Maybe one day we'll actually get to play a game like it that actually lives up to the hype. For now though we only have a dream of what could have been.

So at what price point should you pick this game up at? Launching at $60 for a clearly incomplete and falsly advertised game was a huge mistake, even half that is asking too much. I would recommend waiting until it's at $15 on a sale. It has similar depth and playability of your typical Early Access title (and all the bugs that come with them), and I wouldn't pay a penny more than that.
