This game turned out better than I expected, as long as you keep your expectations in check. The actresses are cute and likable, even if the acting sometimes feels straight out of a B-movie acting class. The story isn’t going to blow anyone’s mind—it leans heavily on clichés—but for me, as someone new to FMV games, that actually made it easier to get into.

The real highlights are the amount of choices you get and the surprisingly solid video quality. I did hit a snag in chapter 4 where I couldn’t progress, but up until then I was having a good time. On top of that, there are a couple of neat features: the game’s built in Unity, which makes it compatible with texthook (super handy if you want to look up words quickly), and you can replay past segments from the choice tree. For Japanese learners, that makes it a pretty fun tool for getting exposure to casual, everyday dialogue while playing.

Early Access Review
I have been playing this for the last couple of days and while it's rough around the edges, I have been entertained so far. Would recommend it if you like the Nemesis boardgame and things like that.

Also, the UI is not so bad. There are surely improvents to be made during the enemies and event resolve phase, mostly regarding how information is conveyed.

As long as you know or are willing to learn the basic rules to the tabletop game, it's very well done. I actually applaud the devs effort to translate the rules almost 1 to 1 to the digital game without dumbing down the rules or excessive streamling.

As some anecdotal evidence, I just played a match where some other guy's objetive was making sure I did not survive and somehow he convinced the 3 other players I was the one trying to kill them (you get to choose between 02 random objectives at the beginning of each match). I did win in the end by escaping the facility. That guy escaped when things turned south and the 3 others got killed by aliens trying to chase me through the base.

It was a very tense and rewarding experience that I seldom see replicated in other games.
