Zero tolerance cuts both ways; if we had austrian painter imagery or right-wing imagery in our games they would happily dox us, cancel us, and ruin our lives.

It's a very good souls-like that stands out among a slough of mediocre ones. It feels like a healthy mix of DS1 and Bloodborne in that combat is both intimate and visceral but also fast-paced and kinetic

Would 100% recommend to any souls-like enjoyer

Easily the best Backrooms game out there; it has the same tension that things like Subnautica have in that there is always a pit in your stomach and you never feel safe despite 'nothing happening' around you.

If you are considering playing, don't look up if there are creatures or encounters etc, just play it blind - you won't regret it

The Unchangeable Christmas Theme completely ruins the horror vibe of the game, and with no way to change it I am forced to workaround it by changing my calendar time in Windows. GROSS OVERSIGHT by otherwise talented devs

Ill change my review back to positive when a fix is added to turn off game-ruining cosmetics

Edited review: I was playing on NG+ and getting womped but after leveling a whole new character through the game, the DLC is incredible on NG. People who are complaining about it being too hard have obviously brought their characters into NG+ or just need to get good.

My only main complaint is with the addition of the Shadow Blessing, the gameplay loop changes from facing the challenges you are presented with in order the player is now incentive to run ahead and look for fragments before taking any fights on. Then, after finding enough fragments, the player backtracks and does everything in the area - it seems backwards to me.

A faithful remake to the original game that enhances player movement, makes slight variations to the map, adds quality of life improvements, while retaining the feel of the original. If you enjoyed RE4 2005 you will enjoy this update to the title
