Not a fan of the cartoon vids, but I do like the pak. The content pack has some fun in it that is a welcome addition to the new version of the game.

If you're a complainy pants PVPer who like shout raging because of new content packs being sold, may I direct you to the history of this franchise and how anyone on official PVP clusters felt when new maps were launched with stone golems, wyverns, rock drakes, crabs, reapers, gliders, meks, cryos, and such back in the day. ARK has always been a pay to win model for PVP. Complain or buy a different game, either way you'll be spending money for your hobby. We all do.

I don't play PVP official anymore because of that toxicity. That said, I do have a great community that I play with on an open privately owned bare metal server and this pack fits right in there.

I like the trains and think there should be more model train stuff in game. I need more than 5 cars, for example. No one's going to use a coal powered train to break PVP meta, that's just not PVP practical. It's just for fun! The only thing I don't understand is how to get the pack to operate when I'm in offline mode on a single player game doing build tests. I do appreciate that this is a season pass for multiple packs. I'm hoping iSpezz is the one working on the steampunk stuff for later.
...
I do not always have Internet access and would like to continue builds and play when in that circumstance. How do I enable the Bob Pack while in single player offline?

The Good: It's on Unreal 5 and should be able to support Unreal 5 blueprints and extensions for modding. Some QoL improvements for gameplay and building. Same basic gameplay for the nostalgia.

The Bad: It's a resource hog and I have a 3060 on a laptop. I won't be making pretty screenshots for some time.

Its a good game with good art. It's a bit vague sometimes, but it's also relaxing. requires audio on.

I've had this in my library for years now and never got around to playing it. I'm sure it does it for some people, but the game is unnecessarily complex with long text blocks to explain the boring process that is in every turn based strategy since CIV 1. There's basically no fun here for me. It's endless dumb.

So far so good. I'm playing on a friend's server. This isn't that hard to survive. I'm totally ready to take on the world. I think I'll hop over to a public server for a few minutes and show these newbies my mad skills.... OOOHHH GOD!!! WHY ARE YOU EATING MY LEG,,, Guurrrgle,,. guurlge,.. blub... blub.., blaaahhhhh.,,

Awakened by an epiphany. I've been playing this for a few weeks on a friend's private and friendly and cooperative server for several weeks now. If our little tribe of 20, or so, plays this long enough to all have attained the ability to make all the highest tech available within the Engrams limit, will we start forming factories to barter and trade among ourselfs for resources? Will we establish our own in-game currencies for each tribe? Will we designate tribe leaders to confir whith each other for wars on neighboring tribes? Will these conglomerate tribes form governments and eventually laws, and .....
The only long-term outcome this game will have at its current style of play (please don't make me do mmorpg quests) is the creation of civilations. Which is an awesome thing to be able to compare to world history and... the possible future! This could be used like a simulation for future world social/economic changes... MY BRAIN!!! IT HURTS US, HOBBITTSES!!!

BTW, did I mentioned it's an awesome game to play when sparked? ;-)

This is the most inconsistently frustrating game I've played all year. The game seems designed to make you think it has quality and then it punches you in the face with annoying NPCs and redundant quests that have nothing to do with the sparse primary storyline. I'm bailing on it half-way through. I have better, less frustratingly annoying games yet to start. That, and my cursing at the screen has my wife concerned for my physchological state. Seriously? I know people swear by this series, and I purchased several titles in the series on super-sale a while ago; but I think I'm putting this in my "I hate the Game Mechanics" library category. I'll watch the YouTube "Let's Play" to finish the primary story. This game has way to much grinding and struggling with swooping camera struggles for my taste.

Ok, so there's some fun here. The storyline is incomplete, but the graphics are good and the team added an in-game camera system specifically for taking crafted screenshots. Take note all future games, this is the best thing ever. Oh, and the the trick to level quickly is to die a lot and let specific captains build up their rune drops to epic proportions before eliminating them with lots of choppping and such.

I spent so many years playing this game - Steam wasn't even logging hours when I first started Skyrim. I love the storylines, the expansions, the user mods, everything.

This was probably the most fun I have had in a modern game, and I recommend it to any adventurer like me.

I tried to like this, I really did. I purchased and supported the development phase, but in the end I'm more of a single player guy. I like feeling like I got something out of my gaming experience, whether it be RPG leveling, story development, or brain teaser solves.

This has none of the fun gaming stuff and is more of a dangled carrot with Death holding the stick. Maybe that was the point.

I haven't played in several months now, so I'm calling it quits for good.
