Liking it so far!

Tons of lore, an abstract and interesting story, good music. This game does feature some common character archetypes, but does not at all have a cliche or "typical" rpg plot.

Dialogue is realistic, in that it uses modern vernacular, which was, at first, a little out of place. But that also does serve to make the characters relatable. And only a little further into the story the dialogue feels more natural.

Collecting and reading the journals is a highlight, as it explains much about the world the characters exist in.

Combat is fairly straightforward, I like the passive bonuses that characters not in the active party provide.

Mini map is not visually impressive, but it is helpful to see where one can walk and cannot. It does come in handy more than once.

The character portraits have a unique style. In a way, they help to distinguish the different types of characters from one another.

I have laughed out loud more than a few times while reading signs around town, or interacting with Dominion soldiers.

I don't find I have a need to use items that much which is a good thing for me. The characters are able to handle most battles well without them. Items are plentiful but not overwhelming, and there is a good balance of equipment vs. items.

Will post a more lengthy review upon completion.

Totally fine, honestly I wouldn't have said anything other than we have gotten a lot of assumptions that assets are default, simply because of the platform. Thank you very much for your support in this review and the other comments on our pages!

Thank you for the reply. I will correct my review, and did not mean to imply that the portraits are bad by any means.

Very glad that you are enjoying Lotia so far. There is a fairly big patch that corrects a lot of small issues as well as adds over 130 interaction points in Nassa. This should be out as early as tonight, but likely tomorrow.

You are correct that the portraits are from different artists, however neither are "stock". We did our past to match the styles; however, as you mentioned, their talents are noticeably different from each other.

Thanks again for the review, looking forward to what you think at the end!
