Orcs must die 2 is an excellent action tower defence game which can be played solo or with a friend

There is 15 maps to play in the base game, with an additional 3 per DLC uptee 9 and another 10 from the original Orcs Must Die, totalling potentially 34 different levels to try a employ a variety of strategies on.

I'd say that this game doesn't bring anything new to the Genre overall but is a good example of what this kind of game should strive to be. Featuring a basic unlock system for new weapons and traps, a few different modes and difficulty selections and lots of opportunities to switch off the mind to enjoy the slaughter of hundreds of orcs. The achievements did not feel remotely grindy which is a plus for completionists.

I do certainly recommend this title. I don't think the DLCS are an absolute requirement but they do come with some useful tools to add to the possible build options. Ideally getting this in a discounted package with the DLCS would be the way to go.
