Are you on of those people that
- Loved ARK: Survival Evolved?
- Loves open world survival games?
- Has a fairly high GPU (atleast an RTX 3070)?
- Okay with several minor bugs?
- Has access to your own dedicated server?
- Wants to play with mods that can complete change how the game is played?
- Are tech savvy enough to setup all the mods and balance them to your liking?
- Are happy reading a lot, and searching for information about the game and mods from other sites?
- Has enough money that paying full price for ARK:SA isn't gonna matter much?

If you answered no to more than 2 of those statements then this game might not be for you.

If you answered yes to all of them, be prepared to lose thousands of hours of played time.

If you just want to test ARK out and think it's too expensive, try to find ARK:SE discounted, this is the exact same game with less mods (currently), and some additional QOL features around building.

Some features such as irrigation pipes and electrical cables don't even exist anymore even though all the tooltips and parts that attach to them still exist ingame but serve no purpose. Most of the things that required these now just work wirelessly. Whilst it can be seen as a QOL feature, it comes across lazily implemented and more likely due to technical constraints than a desire to make building more accessible.

Great game, it's fun but it comes with several disclaimers and really just isn't the right game for some people.

I've never felt freedom like I have with No Man's Sky in any other game.

This game now, is what people wanted Starfield to be.

You honestly would not think this was an early access title. There's so much to do, it feels really polished, I've not noticed any bugs in my first 6 hours.

More like ARK than Pokémon but it's so smooth!

Not had a game release and perform this well in a while.

Necesse is like a wild blend of RimWorld, Zelda and Terraria, and let me tell you, it's a total game-changer. Recruiting NPCs is like building your dream team—cooking, crafting, the whole shebang.

The whole progression thing gives off major Terraria vibes, especially with 11 bosses that ramp up the challenge. Combat's solid, the music is good, and get this—it's all the handiwork of a solo developer.

Necesse is still in the oven with early access, but mark my words, it's shaping up to be the sandbox survival dream for fans of RimWorld and Terraria.

Unplayable on ultrawide monitors unless you want to play in windowed at a lower resolution.

The problem isn't the resolution however I can select that fine. The problem is the FOV. There is no possible way of changing it.

Due to this everything is very very zoomed in to the point it feels uncomfortable to play.

Priorities on bug fixing appears strange. They are scaling up and testing server stability at 80 players when there are a few unplayable features due to the lag they have at 20 players (the vehicles).

It has the potential but maybe not for a while.

If you have a Nvidia 4000 series card, just get the DLLS3 + FrameGen mod. Playing on ultra with a 4070 at 1440p and I the lowest I drop frames is to 70.

Game runs fantastically well, no stutters, no freezes. Surprised by how few bugs I've noticed (3 in total, 1 was an NPC ship just spinning after we interacted, another was something to do with my captains locker which fixed after I reloaded my save, and I've noticed one corpse T posing after I had reloaded a save).

Nothing game breaking and so far I have been loving every moment of Starfield.

It plays like a happy medium between Mass Effect, Elite Dangerous and Fallout. The Bethesda touches can be seen through the storytelling, through the hand placed notes, books and recordings. I remember wandering around the back parts of Neon and I found a lounge chair and a few empty beer bottles. There was a note next to the chair with a marker, a man had scribbled about his love and how they should run away together.

Was a small moment but it's part of how the environment tells stories.

The only thing that irks me a little is the amount of procedural POIs that don't make sense. Clutter outside on planets with extreme atmospheres where they wouldn't be for example. This is something I expect modders to have fun with and add more variety too in the next few years.

This is gonna be a long haul game, better sit back and enjoy the ride.

Awful performance, if you don't have an SSD don't even bother.

I refuse to buy this same game twice.
