I hope it gets more love and contents. I'm mostly casual but I (surprisingly) enjoyed the pvp since most teammates are very nice. It's runs at 4k60 on my 3060 (low shadow, 4xanisotropic filtering, dlss performance, everything else high). I love the sci-fi setting and style, although it'd be nice if there're more cutscenes and less lore dump text logs. Overall a great experience!

(One month later edit) The gap between the have and have not is getting wide. I admit I'm not great, but I play apex regularly, so I'm not totally clueless about pvp. They don't seem to match by item value. I'm getting slaughtered by blue kitted folks even in the first map. I've barely found blue shields, and buying them requires lv 20 faction rank. I don't have regular teammates and my filled teams have been getting crushed within 1 min every time we run into pvp. It's very tedius to grind faction ranks without a fixed team, and I've exhausted almost all contents pre cryo archive (and don't think I can do that with my gear and fill teams). The lore is cool but sadly there's almost no cutscenes or meaty events, just mountains of audio logs. It feels like an excuse to not put in the work for a story campaign. My bros and I only have a couple gaming hrs a week with work and all and I honestly can't recommend this to them.

I really wanted to like it. It's fun, optimized and polished. I still play it to chill at night, but I won't remember much on the second day. I have been fighting mostly the same 2 drones and 2 balls the whole time. High level enemies are bullet sponges and a chore to fight. Maybe my expectation is too high from all the hype.

Not the most balanced (railgun just memes everything) and can use more content but damn it's so well-made and smooth. Will push trade station into the sun again.

I wish there are more you can do with the spaceships. It's my favorite part of the game.

I think what really matters is the friends we met on the way

I am very torn. It's certainly fun and super cheap, but it's also so so so buggy. The menu gets stuck after dying. Joining games midway will cause it to think you're in the first area and kill you by freezing. Also would be nice to have a mode with checkpoints :( Not every one of my friends want to start from the beginning every time. I knew some folks that worked on this from college, so I really wanted it to be good, but I just can't advertise this to everyone at its present state.

(Refunded) If you like roleplaying I feel this can be fun. It clearly has a lot of love put into it, and the players in the one server I visited seem nice. Just don't think it's my thing. You start off as a proletariat and grind karma to unlock higher level roles. Items are persistent after you die. Higher roles will be able to pick sides and do more fun missions. All events are player driven, that can go either way. If you're into role-playing I can see it being fun to spread or fight the rot, but of you're not their variety can seem a bit lacking.
