Gustav Elijah Åhr was given the nickname peep by his mom at birth. He was born on November 1, 1996 in New York. After the divorce of his parents, he went down the wrong path. Lil Peep started to skip school and broke up with his girlfriend. He was honest and creative at a young age but became depressed. Lil Peep would lock himself in his room and be alone for hours.

Lil Peep started writing songs as a teen and created music videos with his friends. He used his pain and transformed them into lyrics. To create his videos, he used a green blanket as a green screen for special effects.

He joined a group called Gothboiclique, they collaborated and wrote songs together. At the age of 19, Lil Peep began to get noticed. He took Gothboiclique with him to get them noticed as well.

Management teams began to contact him and his career took off.

Lil Peep got into harder drugs as his stress and anxiety grew along with his fame. He always felt as if he needed to do everything the best, he would go hard on all the drugs.

Throughout his fame, he was caring and wanted to please others. Lil Peep was also insecure about himself and thought he would be judged.
