Action game heaven, accompanied by one of the most entertaining plots i've experienced in a while. Memes are literally an integral part in the story for pete's sake. Hideo Kojima should sell you to it's excellence alone.
Definitely play with a controller. Gameplay isn't the most deep out there but it is damn fun. Outstanding villians and soundtrack as well, i'd even call such elements, as well as the game as a whole, iconic. I can see myself coming back to the game again and again.
