The most uncompromisingly unique game I've played in ages - brilliant, weird, hilarious, thought-provoking. I'll be honest, the core gameplay does start to drag, but the experience as a whole is more than worth the effort.

I really liked this mechanic in Leap Year and wondered what they'd do with it here. It looks nicer, but unfortunately it's far less interesting and three times the price despite being just as short (I have rolled credits)

As a complete horror wuss I'm glad I could manage this finely crafted 1 hour experience - narrative, visuals and sound design all excellent. An eerily relatable descent.

I really don't want to be the only one ragging on this solo developed passion project, so I'll just say that while I enjoyed the vibes I found the gameplay frustrating in many respects. Playtime vs price also worth noting - I didn't find *all* the secrets but I didn't rush it either

A tough one to Yes / No, but having just got E done my main impression is that the juice wasn't worth the squeeze.

The story isn't exactly mindblowing if you've even a passing familiarity with sci-fi / philosophy and isn't great at character development, but I thought it was still enjoyable, with several really good scenes. The soundtrack is superb and some of the ways it plays with the medium of video games are pretty impactful.

Ultimately though 80-90% of your time with this game will be spent on mediocre combat and questing that feels like an increasingly monotonous slog as you work your way through the story. I often felt like I was playing WoW again. Do yourself a favour and stick it on Easy - it'll be more bearable.

In 2026 I think my actual recommendation is to dodge this and play 1000xRESIST instead. There isn't a great deal of thematic overlap between the two, but the vibes are close enough and it gives far more while taking far less of your time.

On Dec 31st this game snuck its way into my favourite games of 2025, second only to Silksong.
Just a beautifully designed Zeldalike that frequently shows you that it wants you to have a blast, from the great dialogue and music to little moments like enemy gauntlets that keep spawning in traffic and getting run over by cars. 10/10

Very good and heartfelt game that I do recommend, just note that Chapter 5 introduces a lot of friction that you'll have to power through, but it's well worth seeing it out.

I do appreciate how the experience of playing Chapter 5 ties into the autobiographical one, but it was such an unexpected slog I nearly dropped the game at that point

Really pleasantly surprised by this one - nice visuals, fun dialogue (if rather preachy at the end, but it's a good sermon!), great soundtrack, and satisfying puzzling that is consistently a mild to moderate challenge. A great chill game

As much as I adore the art and gamefeel of Constance and think the choice between thumbs up / thumbs down is clear, this recommend comes with some fairly hefty caveats.
One is that it felt like I spent about half the game in boss fights. They're generally decent, and some are very fun, but it's not usually my preference in metroidvanias.
The second is that I rolled credits in about 5 hours. I'm usually one for quality over quantity, and I think this has it, but still worth noting. I only have ~60% completion and would normally hop back in for more collectibles, but...
...the third is that the map is a vague mess. I hear they're working on improving this, so maybe I'll come back for collectibles then, but I've no interest in secret hunting in its current state.
Lastly (and the most subjective) I had a general sense the game was not very good at communicating what it wanted from me, whether it was the map, the occasional confusing boss or the odd 'this blind leap into a pit is actually correct'.
I'll make this a feedback sandwich by adding that the story was a bit surface-level but still enjoyable and evocative, the character writing was solid and the music and sound design were excellent.

Legitimately amazing incremental game where the 'tech tree' is a challenging, engaging spatial engine building puzzle, the UI is extremely slick while also calling to mind Balatro's dopamine-inducing fireworks, and the thematic wrapper is an eSports satire that adds an extra layer of entertainment and surprises to the first playthrough.
