Absolutely 100% recommended. Immortals of Aveum is an extremely fun game. I’m playing on Ultra settings with no issues. The gameplay is fantastic with seamless combat. Level design throughout the game is breathtakingly beautiful.

The story was very enjoyable and entertaining. Voice acting for all the main characters was great. Jak is such a cool protagonist; I really like him. The music was well suited to the game too. Aside from the main campaign, there’s so much to explore. The game rewards you for exploring areas thoroughly. There are many useful upgrades to be found in hidden chests, puzzles, Shroudfanes etc. I LOVE the combat, it’s one of the best things about the game. Being someone who enjoys both FPS games and playing as a sorcerer/mage/wizard/warlock in games; the idea of a FPS games where you're using magic rather than guns was both intriguing and appealing from the moment I heard about this game. Immortals of Aveum exceeded my expectations and is immensely satisfying to play. With the super-fast pace, the combat feels quite similar to Doom, but obviously with magic rather than guns. The talent trees, along with choice of sigil, totem, rings, and bracers, give opportunities for plenty of buildcrafting. I enjoyed that aspect a lot and would urge people to play around with various builds. As for difficulty, I played on the hardest difficulty (Immortal). I found it challenging at times, but in a good way. It was satisfying when you beat bosses on the toughest difficulty.

I’ve played for over 38 hours with the game on Ultra settings and have experienced zero performance issues. No stuttering, no freezes. The game has been perfect for me. It’s irritating to see so many negative reviews on an excellent game, especially from people who are using very old PCs and expecting it to be able to run new games. For those with higher end PCs who are having trouble, there are various options to tweak your graphics settings. The game calculates and recommends a performance budget for your GPU and CPU. It allows you to edit several items, should you wish, such as shadows, textures, reflections and many more. You can choose where to spend points on performance aspects that are important to you. There’s a lot of options that can be tweaked to get it right. Before leaving negative reviews, first try to edit your settings to see if it helps. It’s unfair on the devs who have worked hard to deliver what is, in my opinion, a spectacular game.
