Gearbox has stepped up and patched the game, as it stands it's currently a 6/10 at best, the stages and music are the best part of the dlc, quite a few of the items just feel like bloat, and they nerfed the ♥♥♥♥ out of the best item they added (did someone say ben's raincoat?). he still feels unfinished but I really like false son so that gets some bonus points from me, I can't really say whether or not you should buy it, just take a look at the content and decide for yourself.

This game's official servers are in such a terrible state that I genuinely cannot recommend this game to new players anymore, absolutely atrocious neglect by valve which has now spread to other games like cs2. Botting is at such a ridiculous level that there are more bots than players on steam's player charts. Valve, get your ♥♥♥♥ together and #FixTF2.

if you've got a few bucks to spare and want a nostalgia trip, this game is where it's at, just remember to disable discord overlay to get rid of that black screen.

best 50 cents I've ever spent.

Make a challenge character. Is fun. make it to mid hardmode. get bored. make new challenge character, repeat process.

play deathmatch for 20 hours.
think I'm pretty good at the game.
join competitive.
get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and trash talked by the enemy and my team.
proceed to then play for another 49 hours.

The building and destruction is a really cool and unique idea for a shooter, but the metagame with railguns is super boring, not to mention the game is completely dead in the water. its a real shame.

a fun way to get banned from skial 10/10

This game is old, no way around it, yet it still manages to be one of the most intense action games I've ever played. One minute shredding apart weak mutants to cowering in a corner because you heard a ♥♥♥♥ ton of guard footsteps. firefights in this game are absolutely brutal, leaving little to no room for error as a few shots are enough to kill you if unprepared. although nowhere near as intimidating, the mutants and other unarmed enemies are still dangerous, turning a corner is enough to get your heart pumping, it takes a few seconds for a swarm of enemies to rush in and even less for them to rip you a new everything. patience is a lifeline, if you can't wait out a patrol or plan a way to bring it down in one piece, you die, simple as that. this game doesn't hold your hand, and if you keep trying for it, it'll become part of the damage statistics. melee combat is hard to pull off but easy to master, the crafting system is easy to use and makes sense, explosives are satisfying to throw and watch explode (red mist is a bonus), weapons range from standard self-defense to instant vaporization, and the enemies are well made, well designed, and are likely to give you anxiety.
