At launch this game had little single player or co-op content, few vehicles, and a limited arsenal and game master mode. Today this is just about fixed, and if it launched today, it's worth the asking price.

The immediate point of comparison is Arma 3, and despite not being the content juggernaut that that game is, Reforger runs, looks, and feels much better to play. Bohemia should be commended for their efforts to make an engine easier to use and make content for, immediately recognizable in their cutscenes and trailers. and further recognizable by the diverse mods that stem further than custom missions and remodels of existing content. Bohemia has made it clear that the dev tools are more powerful by showcasing impressive mods on a whim that would've taken an Arma 3 modder a year at least, like the toy soldier mode.

I'd definitely give it a try if you loved Arma 3 but found it on the clunky side, as it scratches that itch in a much smoother game.

Very pleased with the story. They somehow managed to tell an intimate story about compelling characters in a story about the end of the universe. Like... it actually has themes!!! THEMES!

Playing this doesn't feel like a game. I feel like I'm a part of a psychological experience designed to give me the most mediocre experience possible.

A game can only make so many decisions antithetical to what I want in a game before I realize that it just isn't for me, as much as I want it to be.

So glad this game doesn't rely on fomo. I can just wait for content I like to drop, and give it a go. It's nice to have a "Live-game" that almost encourages taking breaks

Worth for the Survival mode alone. Completely changes how you even play on a basic level. You'll also uncover a bunch of new ♥♥♥♥ that having a direct mod for isn't quite the same as. You'll enter a temple, and think "was this just in skyrim and I don't remember it?" You really do get that experience of finding a secret you had no idea about and it's quite special!

Look, I bought it back in like 2018. Back then, it was 40, or even 60 bucks worth of content at least, but now, with so much content being long gone and irrelevant to the current gameplay loop, and Bungie still selling it, I just cant recommend it for anything more than like 5 bucks. And what sucks is it's such a bizzare patchwork of things far beyond the campaign and dungeon that are locked behind the paywall that frustrate players at every turn from nightfalls to xur exotics just to say "oh pay 20 bucks." it just feels scummy to any player who hasn't bought it.

As of Season of the Lost, It's a very good time to be a Destiny player. With the most recent season, just about every facet of the game, from loot, to balance, to narrative has received a massive upgrade. From the addition of anti-cheat, and loot overhaul for pvp, to a massive drop of solid loot from just about every activity, there's little to complain about. For players looking to get caught up on the story, there's even a "timeline" feature on the destination select screen to help let you know where the story has gone since you've been away. If you liked the idea of Destiny but thought there were some things that left a bad taste in your mouth I'd encourage you to give it a try this season.

The campaign is pretty cool, and Extinction mode is interesting. Just prepare to play this game only if you okay wih a single player CoD experience.

It'd be nice if they had it for OSX so I could play it on my work computer... but hey, It's one of the better shooters I've played, and one of the best serious free to play shooters on steam, considering its market, and the fact that everything is nice and tactical, and it does cover-based shooting rather right, if you ask me.
