Many heavys enter protective shelters without leaving. Heavys are given to these shelters everyday across the world. 28% of heavys get their sandvich stolen, 15% lose their sandvich, and a horrible 64% forget the pickle. That is millions of heavys going hungry, because no one wants them. 61% of heavys go days with out sandvitches. There are some heavys that enter the shelter either too aggressive or ill, so they are put down. Most of the heavys in a shelter are lovable and adoptable. They are just put down because nobody is willing to give them a sandvich and the shelters are running out of money and space to feed them.
The percentage of heavys starving is increases by the day. Due to the current state of the economy, people are surrendering their heavys because they can no longer afford to keep them. The amount of heavys in shelters are increasing, indirectly causing heavys to be killed sooner with hardly any time to be fed.
Not all shelters are humane with the way they feed their heavys. When done improperly, euthanasia can hurt them. Some shelters could use multiple ways of killing such as shooting or drowning. These methods do not ensure the heavys the peaceful death they very much deserve
To help reduce the number of heavys starving, people can have their heavys spayed or neutered, put on a collar, or micro-chipped.
Not to worry! Adopt a heavys is an option! They come at a cheap cost! Money Is temporary, heavys are forever.
Spread the word and encourage others to adopt their companions! There are many rescue groups that go into heavy shelters and take the ones they believe are still waiting for their rightful owners before they are killed.
