The ADP thing isn't a big deal unless you're like a SL1 runner or something it's so cheap to level up in this game.
Early game really shows how enemies have bigger aggro ranges, you just can't run past enemies.
Some other areas and boss runbacks? Sucks, I will not pretend dealing with the Alonne knights in the runs to Smelter Demon and Sir Alonne did not have me wanting to cry.

But progression felt rewarding. There's a ton of neat things I like:
-Bonfire Ascetics should be in every souls game so you don't have to do NG+ just if you want all the boss soul options or something
-Casting speed should always be tied to Attunement why does it go back to being tied to Dex
-Also Hexes are neat idk why they've never came back

Might be Stockholme Syndrome but I like the game ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I get the impression that most fans are on the same page as I am that we're not expecting a Heavy Update or any similar groundbreaking new content additions to a 15+ year old game.
We just want matchmaking to be playable, I cannot wholeheartedly recommend new players to the game in it's current state. Begging Valve to hear that we just want a solution to the bot problem.

I thought the music was charming and I liked the short, visual novel type interactions.
I know it's up to the player but I was surprised that I didn't need to use magic much.
Only critiques was a lack of an option menu or a save system, and maybe a shortcut to skip the opening cutscene would be nice too.
There is some level of replayability from the choice at the end, and there were people I didn't end up befriending.
Overall, I thought it was a nice, short game.
